Computer Vision 101: Best Resources

Hey folks,
I have compiled the best resources available on internet to learn Computer vision basics.

Computer vision is a broader subject and it takes broader and deeper understanding of it’s concepts and approaches to understand any computer vision system in general.
PS. Make sure you have sound knowledge of Linear Algebra before diving into computer vision. I have a blog on the best resources that you can find to learn Lie Algebra.

I suggest you get the overview of the computer vision as a whole before going into deeper. Otherwise it will take most of the time to connect the pieces that you are learning.

Start with the Videos that make you think.

Andrew Blake
Jitenda Malik
PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE
Reconstructing world from photos
Machine Learning in Computer Vision
Object Detection

Start with one of the course to absorb as many thing as you can. (BASIC)

Course by Colorado School of Mines

Course by Udacity

Specialization by Coursera

Course by IIT Kharagpur

Once you complete one of the course I suggest you jump to the skimming through various courses to glue the different topics.

Please find the list of courses offered in computer vision that contains the lectures slides which is great. Skimming through the topics would reinforce the understanding.

This way you will have a different flavor of the same topics and will broaden you understanding.
